Looking for fun holiday activities to do with your friends or family? We put together a list of some of our favorite holiday activities to get involved in the Tucson community and encourage some holiday cheer.   • Wonderland Of Lights | Tucson Holiday Events

The Tucson Botanical Garden Lights offers an intimate experience surrounded by nature. You will see over 1 million twinkling lights, immersive light displays and luminarias by following a path through the gardens that were created and designed by local artisans. They also sell snacks and hot cocoa to enjoy while you walk. For more details on tickets, times and location please go to their website. It's best to purchase your ticket beforehand to get a preferred time slot. LightsUp A Festival Of Illumination Is November 29th - January 12th From 6:00pm – 9:30pm.

  • Showing of How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Matinee):

The Fox Theatre has two showings of “ How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Matinee)” on December 21st at 2:00pm and 6:00pm. The Fox Tucson Theatre opened on April 11, 1930, as a dual vaudeville/movie house because of this it is considered a historic theatre in Tucson and well worth the visit. This would be a great opportunity to check out the theatre! 

  • ZooLights: Holiday Magic:

The Zoolights creates a fun atmosphere for all age groups running from Thursday, December 5, 2024 to Sunday, January 5, 2025, 6:00 pm — 8:30 pm. This year the ZooLights are presented by Tucson Electric Power providing a magical experience through the zoo.  New this year is a giant, illuminated Gingerbread House, the return of a towering 36-foot showcase tree and decorative scenes– perfect for your holiday photos. Get your tickets now! 

  • Downtown Parade of Lights and Festival

The Downtown Parade of Lights and Festival is Saturday, December 14, 2024 starting at 6:30PM, please go to the website to see the new parade route and where you’d like to watch it from, there are alot of options. The Desert Rose Community will be at the corner of 14th St and 4th Ave if you would like to watch the parade alongside us and meet other members! This is a family event so bring anyone and everyone out to watch the floats. We hope to see you there!  

  • Winter Haven Lights.:

Winter Haven is a neighborhood in central Tucson, Arizona that allows us to experience the magic of the season! Running through Christmas, this neighborhood is open to the public at no cost to explore the houses that are decorated! In the center of the neighborhood there are snack and drink tents and a hot cocoa stand with items available to purchase. There are many ways to experience the magic in this neighborhood; walking, scheduling a hayride, renting a party bike or there is one single night you can drive through making it perfect for the whole family to participate! One of the main entrances is located at 3235 N. Country Club Tucson AZ 85716 but you can enter through a variety of streets if you are walking.
